Press Release - Countdown to Crowne Plaza Opening - 100 Days
The countdown to the opening of the new Crowne Plaza in Manchester city centre has begun, as work on the public areas gets underway this week.
It's now only 100 days till the grand opening of the hotel, which sees the Crowne Plaza brand return to central Manchester after a four year absence.
Carillion Plc oversaw the practical completion of the hotel at the end of last week, making way for MDR Interiors, the company responsible for the public area fit out.
This includes the reception lobby with ‘feature wall', nine conference rooms, a private dining room and boardroom, plus a contemporary destination restaurant and bar.
Bob Fairweather, general manager of the Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre, said: "The hotel is really beginning to take shape and we are confident that corporate and leisure travellers visiting the city will be impressed with what we have to offer.
"We have so far had extremely positive feedback about the modern design of the hotel's exterior and we're now looking forward to impressing visitors with the equally sleek interior too.
"The hotel boasts 228 contemporary and spacious bedrooms. Those looking for a little extra luxury and exclusive lounge access will head to the top floor where they will find 24 Club rooms and a Plaza Suite that come with Club Lounge areas."
The Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre is operated by Liverpool-based hotel developer, Centre Island, and can be found on the web at http://www.cpmanchester.com/.
