Press Release - Crowne Plaza Creates 160 New Manchester Jobs
Hotel operator Centre Island is creating 160 new jobs at its new Crowne Plaza which is due to open in Manchester’s Northern Quarter in September.
The hotel, which sees the Crowne Plaza brand return to central Manchester after a four year absence, is looking for an experienced management team, supervisors and ‘front line’ staff.
Aimed at the increasing number of corporate and leisure travellers coming to the city, the ten-floor hotel on Shudehill fits in with the modern design of nearby buildings such as Urbis.
From the outside, it has an attractive angular design to the front and windows that are made from multi-coloured glass that appears to change colour as the light alters throughout the day.
Inside, Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre will boast 228 contemporary and spacious bedrooms including interconnecting rooms that can be used for families travelling with children.
Those looking for a little extra luxury and exclusive lounge access will head to the top floor where they will find 24 Club rooms and a Plaza Suite.
The hotel will also contain a destination restaurant serving fresh locally sourced food. Businesses, meanwhile, will be able to make use of nine conference rooms. One of these will accommodate up to 300 delegates in theatre style seating.
“We are looking for experienced people who can offer our guests the level of service that they expect from the Crowne Plaza brand,” said Bob Fairweather, general manager, Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre.
“I will be looking to recruit the best people who are passionate about hospitality and who have an outstanding commitment to customer service – after all it will be this that sets us apart and that will be the reason for guests to return.”
