Bob's Blog - No 15 - "The Apprentice!"

If any of you are fans of the Apprentice then you will have seen the recent visit to the North for their task for week seven and they stayed with us here at the Crowne Plaza!

I must admit I am a keen follower of the program and I have been particularly looking forward to this episode as I knew it was the week when they would showing what was actually filmed last year when the candidates and of course Margaret and Nick stayed with us and based themselves here for two days.

Much of the filming took place here in the hotel, plus other locations in Manchester and Liverpool however it was not until this week’s show that we had any idea what tasks they had tackled. What was the cardboard cat playhouse in the shape of a fire engine, tank, and plane all about?!

Nick came out with the another great quote!

Nick on the zero sales
"Frankly returning to London with no sales is a bit like the three of them popping into that cat plane and taking off to join the Battle of Britain. They ain't got a chance”

Ben's holiday packing
I'm packing my swimming shorts, my flip flops and my sunglasses just in case...' Ben's hopeful about where they're heading on the seventh task.

Lorraine describes herself
'I'm a little bit of a slow burner in terms of my thought process. I don't necessary get the idea immediately, but it will come...'

All in all an entertaining show, which we were delighted to be part of!
